This document is designed to guide the society towards a higher level of skilling.
To be promoted you must meet the requirements needed for the next rank up, as well as still be able to follow those requirements of the lower ranks. Please note that you are ineligible for promotion until you have registered on the soc website at http://www.sctcsoc.freeforums.org
There will be NO immediate demotions. If you do not meet the new requirements for your existing rank, you have until 30th September 2010 to achieve them.
Rank information and how to progress up the Society Ranks Circle:
Master Rank 6:
Description: Master is the leader of the society as elected by the First Circle
Responsibilities:
1) Must have served at First Circle and was voted in by the members of the First Circle.
2) Responsible for inter-society relations.
3) Responsible for overall order and furtherance of the society and its agenda.
4) Coordinates and oversees society events.
5) Works in conjunction with the First Circle for the overall administration of the society
6) Must ensure preservation of the society, its hierarchy and its leadership.
7) Has final and overriding say in dispute resolutions (if needed).
First Circle Rank 5:
Description: Southern Cross Training Centre's administrators and elite. Limited to seven, members of the First Circle meet the requirements for the rank and have a history of investing portions of their game-play back to the lower ranks as well as to the Entropian Universe. Entry to this level is voted on by the members of the First Circle.
Responsibilities:
1) Dedication of significant portion of game-play toward the betterment of the society, as well as the Entropian Universe.
2) Represent the Southern Cross Training Centre well by dressing, behaving and interacting in a respectful manner.
3) Responsibilities as the core of the society include acting as moderators, litigators, negotiators and diplomats, as well as conducting promotions, demotions, kickings, policy changes, enforcement of charter and society rules.
4) Know how to balance fun with responsibility.
5) Maintenance of the order and agenda of the society
6) Responsible for dispute resolutions
7) Has voting authority to elect leader of the society
8) Must be willing to assume the rank of Master if necessary
Requirements:
1) 100k skills (May be asked to provide proof)
2) 160 attributes total excluding Stamina and hp: Minimum of 50 Agility, 30 Intelligence, 30 Psyche and 50 Strength.
3) Must love bacon.
Second Circle Rank 4:
Description: Top rank for general membership. Highly skilled and knowledgeable of the Entropian Universe. These are the players who earned their rank for their skill and knowledge.
Responsibilities:
1) Enjoy the game, party and be Nuber!
2) Support lower ranks in their personal development
3) Conduct rescue missions
4) Coordinate team hunts
5) Diversify your professional abilities
6) Must use a fun word like "tomfoolery", "fizzgig" or "wisterpooper" at least once a month in soc chat.
Requirements:
1) 65k skills (May be asked to provide proof)
2) 130 attributes total excluding Stamina and hp: Minimum of 40 Agility, 25 Intelligence, 20 Psyche and 30 Strength.
3) Made at least one visit to CND or CP or Rocktropia
4) Minimum one year’s game-play
5) Instant dismissal for looking like a Smurf or possessing Smurf like qualities.
Third Circle Rank 3:
Description: Mid level member with moderate experience and respectable in-game knowledge. This is akin to the antiquated graduation under the mentorship system.
Responsibilities:
1) Declared profession or specialty
2) Sponsor a SCTC Rank 1 or 2 member in your declared profession or specialty, not to exceed three disciples.
3) Balance personal development with societal responsibilities i.e. assisting your disciples, team hunting, tp running, partying.
4) Organizing and leading team hunts and tp runs.
5) May participate in soc rescue operations if properly equipped to do so (armour, weapon, teleport chip).
Requirements:
1) 30k skills,
2) 110 attributes total excluding Stamina and hp: Minimum of 35 Agility, 20 Intelligence, 15 Psyche and 25 Strength.
3) Gear according to your profession/specialty
4) Minimum six months in game
5) Must know the lyrics to either "Smoke on the Water" or "Freebird", preferably both.
Fourth Circle Rank 2:
Description: Low level member, with few skills and knowledge of the game. Members are expected to meet the requirements for rank 3 within six months.
Responsibilities:
1) Must have an active and declared rank 3 or higher sponsor.
2) Members are encouraged to discover and develop a primary profession. (Sponsor should be of that general profession e.g. hunting, mining, crafting)
3) Members are expected to join team hunts and learn the fundamentals of team hunts through participation.
4) Members are expected to concentrate on personal development and learning the game in furtherance of rank 3
5) Assist soc with tp runs when possible and may lead rank 1 members on tp runs.
Requirements:
1) Completion of all teleports on Calypso.
2) Completion of the PA starter Quests and receiving an extra Stamina point.
3) Must spell better than Qilex!
Initiate Rank 1:
Description: Entry level into the society and/or Entropia Universe. Members have one month from acceptance to meet the requirements for rank 2.
Responsibilities:
1) Represent their society, respecting their superiors and the society charter.
2) Must register on society website within one week of acceptance or face dismissal.
3) Obtain all teleport's (tp) on Calypso
4) Seek and enlist the help of rank 3 or higher member for sponsorship
5) Obtain basic level gear to your professional interests
6) Complete the 5 basic starter Quests. Start by meeting the Port Atlantis Mission Broker.
7) Members at this rank are expected to focus on their personal development and Entropian knowledge and to learn from their superiors/sponsor.
8) To play the game, have fun, make friends with soc mates and skill
9) Must find and meet the Master or member of the First Circle of the society after acceptance at the earliest convenience.
Requirements:
1) Have a brain (and use it).
2) Have a sense of humour (and use it).
3) Moderate fluency in the English Language.
4) Self sustainable.
5) Respectful and willingness to learn.
6) Active game playing.
Responsibilities and rankings are subject to regular review and may be changed or edited at the discretion of the First Circle or Master at any time. Any changes will be notified to members via the soc website.
